C. Obi Onyewu, M.D.

C. Obi Onyewu, M.D. received a BA in Biology from Rutgers University and first worked as a Research Assistant for the Anatomy Department for Temple University School of Medicine and then in counseling before entering and graduating medical school from Temple University. After graduating, Dr. Onyewu served as an intern for Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center and then completed residency at Georgetown University/National Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Onyewu is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, the Physiatric Association for Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, the National Medical Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine and is an active fundraiser for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Wheelchair Basketball League.
