Principal and Practicing Physiatrist
Bio: Dr. Onyewu is a principal and practicing pain specialist of Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians (MASPP), a multi-specialty, pain management group practice. He is double board certified and holds medical licenses in the States of Delaware and Maryland, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the District of Columbia. In addition to practicing pain management, Dr. Onyewu provides clinical instruction and educational lectures to fellows and residents, teaching interventional spine and management of acute and chronic pain. He is as an instructor for the Temple University Pain Medicine Fellowship Program and a Residency Faculty Member at the University of Delaware. Dr. Onyewu is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, the Physiatric Association for Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, the National Medical Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine and is an active fundraiser for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Wheelchair Basketball League.
