Registered Nurse

Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians, a well-recognized physical medicine and rehabilitation group practice specializing in the treatment of spine and pain related disorders, has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic /Outpatient Surgery Center for full-time and part-time positions.

Job Description:
Provides preventive, curative and episodic health care to patients with pain. Performs comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, medical treatment, and referrals to ensure quality care. Educates/instructs patients and collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, quality care and outcomes regarding treatment plans and follow-up care. Additionally provides pre-op and post-op assessment and care to patients; conscious sedation for ambulatory surgical center and office procedures; surgical assistance in operating room; and nursing duties in the outpatient clinics. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements:
Completion of applicable Nursing degree program from accredited school of nursing is required. Current active licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Maryland or Compact Sate required. ACLS preferred or required within 6 months of hire. Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required with emergency care, critical care, PACU experience preferred. Previous outpatient surgery RN experience also preferred. The successful candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational judgment, diplomacy skills and leadership abilities. Must be able to assess the needs of a variety of clients having diverse expectations and age groups and have effective computer skills. Position will rotate between the outpatient surgery center and our outpatient clinics located in Neward, DE and Elkton, MD. No weekend shifts. No on-calls.
