Physician Assistant

Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians, a well-recognized physical medicine and rehabilitation group practice specializing in the treatment of spine and pain related disorders, has an immediate opening for an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to apply the principles, methods and techniques of medicine and pain management to patients and ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care.

Job Description:
Successful candidate will be responsible for providing health care and performing selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians in a fast-paced practice. Duties include obtaining complete history and physical data on patients, reviewing patient records, performs complete physical exams and records findings, orders appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures, performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations, and provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. Will be required to see patients in hospitals on an on-call basis and performs other related work as require.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and Physician Assistant and certified to practice both in Delaware and Maryland or eligible to apply for both. 2-5 years experience working in a physician practice setting preferred. Pain management experience a plus. Needs to be able to be credentialed with all major insurers in addition to Medicare and Medicaid. Travel between clinical offices will be required. Successful candidate should also be a hardworking, reliable, energetic team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, and able to multitask in a confidential, fast-past work environment. Hired candidate must offer quality patient care and generate a warm and friendly atmosphere for both patients and employees.
