Physiatrist

Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians, a well-recognized physical medicine and rehabilitation group practice specializing in the treatment of spine and pain related disorders, has an immediate opening for a board certified or eligible physiatrist with a strong interest in musculoskeletal spine and pain management for a full-time position.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health care and treatments for numerous spine and painful conditions in a fast-paced practice and outpatient surgery center. Duties will include outpatient evaluations, electrodiagnotic studies, teaching of fellows and residents, and inpatient consultations. Interventional experience is desirable but not mandatory. The practice will provide interventional training to those who show interest. The practice is interested in receiving applications from PM&R residents graduating in 2009 as well as physiatrists already in practice. Hired physiatrist is required to travel to treat patients in both practice locations (Newark, DE and Elkton, MD) and provide inpatient consultations at nearby affiliated hospitals on a rotating basis Alternates on-call with other group physicians. Performs other related work as required.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE), Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician who is fellowship-trained in pain management and has excellent clinical and administrative credentials. Ideal candidate should be a hardworking, reliable, energetic team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and able to multitask in a confidential, fast-past work environment. Hired candidate must offer quality patient care and generate a warm and friendly atmosphere to both patients and employees. Travel between clinical offices will be required.

Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians offers a competitive salary and benefits package including a 401k retirement plan. Position will circulate between Neward, DE and Elkton, MD offices.
